
‘The Art of Exchange – A Collaborative Inquiry’ is pleased to present the collaborative artwork’s of Oliver Cloke and Michael J. Migliacci
Their Drawings are an effort to coexist on the page. Each artwork is created over a couple of months work, sending drawings backwards and forwards, each layer was done in four minute slots and then the artwork was sent to the other person. The lack of verbal communication allowed for a language to be formed and a game of chess to be cultivated. Each artist could enhance the work or erase as they wished. A rule agreed at the beginning of the exchange. They also found ways to overcome space and time as they were working between the UK and Japan.
